Help us by becoming a CPR Foster Carer:

HELP to give a beautiful animal a home while they wait for their  new adopted home

Coastal Paws Rescue are constantly looking for that special breed of people known as "Foster Carer's".  We often recruit Foster Carer's who end up adopting the animal they are caring for.  Although this is a great outcome for both the animal and the carer, unfortunately for us we need to recruit and train again!

Coastal Paws Rescue are a volunteer organisation from the President across the board to all Foster Carer's.  We provide assistance with training, book and pay for vet appointments and can assist with transport to and from appointments, when food is donated to the group it is shared evenly amoung the foster carer's, worming, heartworming and flea treatments are also provided on a regular basis.

What is asked in return is that all animals are treated like the foster carer's own.  A loving home, food, shelter and exercise.  If grooming is needed Coastal Paws Rescue have groomers who will assist.

Being a Foster Carer for animals is not light responsibility.  It takes patience and persistance with some of the animals that come into care.  Coastal Paws Rescue provide as much temperament testing as possible before an animal goes to it's new foster home.  There are times when behaviour issues arise and these are dealt with quickly to stop any escalation of unacceptable behaviour.

Coastal Paws Rescue have a number of resources at hand to help our foster carer's and new owners with the animals.  We have things like educational dvd's, dog trainers and behaviour modification devices (such as ultra-sonic bark stop for dogs).

Being a Foster Carer is a memorable experience that can benefit the entire family.  If you are considering being a Foster Carer or you think you may be able to volunteer in other ways, transport, fundraising etc, please contact us.

20th July 2009: Boss gets recruited......

A little while ago, we were approached by the ARMY. They were looking for dogs that were driven for play and reward. We could think of no other dog than Boss.

Recruiters came to have a look at Boss, and they fell in love with him.

He is now topping his class to become a bomb detection dog.

Boss is loving being treated like a king and to him, work is play.

We will be getting frequent updates on Boss' progression, and we are proud to have a dog, that was marked for death prior to us saving him, is now serving his country to protect us.....

Animals with Special Needs need Homes as well.........

CPR not only help healthly animals find their new forever homes, we also assist animals that have special needs. These animals are sometimes blind, deaf or have some other type of disability, CPR know that all animals deserve a second chance.

Look at our Special Need Animals page and help these beautiful animals get a new home.
